Interested in a Career in Policing?

November 09, 2010

Any grade 11 or 12 student who is interested in becoming a police officer should apply for the RCMP Youth Academy running from April 21 to 29, 2011 (inclusive). This program is designed to place the students in a simulated RCMP training environment as well as role-playing the realities of policing. Students will receive instruction and lectures on law, social and communication skills, physical training, as well as some police tactics, and self-defense and variety of other topics. Applications can be either downloaded and printed (see attached) or picked up from Mr. MacLean and are due back no later than Friday, December 10, 2010. Note: there is a $350 that covers the 9 days of lodging, meals, transportation, uniform and supplies.
