This website provides updates on School District No. 43's (Coquitlam) capital projects including new school construction, seismic replacements projects, additions, and other small projects.
Updates will be posted to each project page linked in the menu to the left, and may include text, photos, videos and applicable links to other websites.

A project is considered approved when it receives Ministry of Education and Child Care funding.
Burke Mountain Secondary

| The Burke Mountain Secondary/Middle School contract was awarded August 19, 2024 to Yellowridge Construction Ltd. The contractor has begun work on mobilizing to site, fencing and detailed foundation excavation of the new school (September 2024).

| Foundation work completed. Structural steel erection and glulam installation underway. Retaining walls and site access stairs being formed and poured (August 2024).

| Second floor exterior wall panels nearing completion. Window installation complete. Interior framing complete at ground floor and boarding started. Mechanical and electrical rough-in underway at ground floor. Asphalt and paving partially complete September 2024).
