2 per school at $4,000 Campus VFX High School Scholarship If you are interested in film, media arts, VFX, animation, and tech pathways. Student who have graduated in the last 2 years or are graduating this year are eligible to apply. 

For students that want to learn a little more about the software, here are two free intro tutorials your students can watch right away:

In addition to our longer programs, we're also offering:

  • VFX for Film makers (Online): for students who love storytelling and film making and want to learn how “movie magic" is planned and created (practical + post workflows, planning for VFX, fundamentals, and more).
  • Summer programs (coming up): hands-on and beginner-friendly—great for high school students who want to try VFX and create portfolio-ready work.

The Confratellanza Italo-Canadese Society is offering several $1,000 scholarships to eligible candidates for the year 2026.

One scholarship is available to this year’s graduating secondary school students planning to enroll in a post-secondary educational institution for the first time in 2026.  To be eligible for this scholarship candidates must 

  1. Be of Italian origin i.e. as having at least one parent or grandparent of direct Italian descent, 
  2. Be living in a city or municipality within the 21-member Greater Vancouver Regional District, 
  3. Have an academic standing sufficient to qualify for entry into the post-secondary institution of their choice, and 
  4. Submit a completed application form with supporting documentation postmarked or delivered no later than June 15, 2026.

A scholarship is also open to members of the Confratellanza Italo-Canadese and secondary school students or recent secondary school graduates having a parent or legal guardian that is a member in good standing of the Confratellanza Italo-Canadese or its affiliates’ the Lega Femminile Italiana.  Candidates must have an academic standing, however, sufficient to qualify for the post-secondary institution of their choice and submit a completed application form with supporting documents, postmarked or delivered no later than June 15, 2026.

A person may apply only for one scholarship.​

Criteria and Application Details

  • Canadian citizen or permanent resident aged 14-18 years old.

  • Candidates are required to submit three short essays demonstrating community service, impactful experiences, and critical thinking.

Questions

  • Question 1 - What is something you are passionate about, and how have you translated that passion into actions to strengthen your community? (200 words max)

  • Question 2 - What experience or challenge has played an important role in shaping who you are today? (100 words max)

  • Question 3 - What kind of future do you hope to build for yourself and others? (150 words max)

The Horatio Alger Skills & Trades Scholarships are awarded to eligible students in British Columbia.

Eligibility:
  • Have completed high school (or earned high school equivalency credential) by July 1
  • Enrolled in hands-on vocational, technical, or trades training for Fall 2026 at a public or not‑for‑profit institution
  • Demonstrate critical financial need (applicants must show household annual net income of $100,000 or less)
  • Demonstrate perseverance in overcoming adversity
  • Be under the age of 35
  • Be a Canadian citizen or a permanent resident living in British Columbia

SHARE YOUR STORY IN NOT MORE THAN 500 WORDS ABOUT YOUR INDIVIDUAL AND FAMILY EXPERIENCES IN CANADIAN LIFE, HOW YOU IMPACTED THE LIFE OF OTHERS IN YOUR COMMUNITY AND YOUR PLANS FOR THE FUTURE.

Attach two references one from the school and one from a Community organization.

Eligibility:

  • Open to female students in the Metro Vancouver schools who are completing grade 12 and are children of refugees or immigrants to Canada.

This scholarship is in memory of Judy Bourne, an inspirational woman of Cree Ancestry. Judy was a devoted wife and mother of six children who was well known for her athletic and coaching abilities, particularly as a nationally and internationally recognized volleyball coach.

Bert & Greta Quartermaine Badminton Scholarship 

Scholarship Amounts:

Six (6) $1000 scholarships

The Bert & Greta Quartermaine Badminton Scholarship fund is provided by Bert & Greta Quartermaine and is dedicated to assisting worthy BC School Sports student-athletes competing in badminton at the high school level in their desire to attend an Accredited Post-Secondary school. 

The Bert & Greta Quartermaine Badminton Scholarship rewards excellence in both scholastic and athletic pursuits. The successful applicants will be student-athletes who have balanced their achievements as badminton athletes with significant success as leaders and contributors to their community. 

BC Dairy Scholarship 

Scholarship Amounts Two (2) $1,000

BC’s dairy farmers are proud to nourish and support our province’s athletes. We are delighted to sponsor this scholarship in support of young athletes taking the next step in their education. The BC Dairy Scholarship rewards student-athletes who exemplify school spirit, practice a healthy lifestyle, and actively engage with their community. 

Molten Scholarship

Molten believes that sports provides a platform to experience the full spectrum of human emotions. These moments shape not just athletes but also everyone who contributes to the world of sports, from players to referees, coaches, volunteers, and supporters. The 2026 Dr. E Bruce Hendrick National Scholarship program is now OPEN for applications to all Canadian students living with spina bifida and/or hydrocephalus!

The Dr. E. Bruce Hendrick Scholarship Program was established to encourage and support students with hydrocephalus and/or spina bifida to develop independence and responsibility for their own future educational directions; and to assist students to pursue higher education with the ultimate goal of obtaining a degree or graduate certificate or diploma.

BCAC members recognize the financial pressures faced by students pursuing studies in aviation and aerospace and are pleased to provide almost $250,000 worth of scholarships and other support on an annual basis. With the critical shortage of human resources faced by our industry – even before the COVID pandemic – and the need to support industry-wide recovery efforts, a focus on scholarships is a key priority of the BCAC. Our members have really stepped up to the challenge. As a result, this is Canada’s largest aviation and aerospace scholarship program. Students can apply for awards ranging from $1,875 to $54,000 in value.

There are four general scholarship categories: Pilots, Aircraft Maintenance Engineers (AMEs), Aviation and Aerospace Operations and Management, and General (Including Aerospace).

The Education Awards Program helps residents in a household directly receiving subsidy from BC Housing, or receiving rental assistance through the Rental Assistance Program (RAP) at the start of courses pursue their educational goals as a way to achieve success and personal growth. The bursaries and awards are for post-secondary education and training programs.

The Scholarship Program supports education and training of B.C.’s future generation of artists, arts administrators, and arts and cultural practitioners. B.C. residents enrolled in full-time post-secondary art programs or high school half-day pre-professional dance programs are welcome to apply.
