| | Alert | Ministry
of Education update – July 31, 2019 The following was sent to BC School Districts by the Ministry of Education:
We understand that this situation is stressful for students and
families. We are focused on resolving this as quickly as possible. There was an anomaly in the tabulation of the Grade 12 June exam results and a
team of ministry staff are actively working to identify and resolve the issue. The ministry is reviewing each June 2019 exam result to ensure student grades
are accurately reflected on their transcripts. All B.C. secondary schools have been contacted and advised of the issue. The ministry has also contacted B.C. post-secondary institutions to inform them
of the issue and help ensure no student applications are impacted. We are also actively contacting Canadian post-secondary institutions and will work with
outside post-secondary institutions as needed. Work
continued overnight, and we are implementing additional quality assurance steps
into our standard processes to ensure this issue is fully remediated. We are
confident that we have identified the root cause of the issue, and will be able
to release revised assessment results shortly. | | 7/30/2019 |
| | Alert | You may have already heard through the media that there was a problem at the Ministry of Education level with tabulation and reporting of some June 2019 grade 12 exam results. We will work to share anything we receive with you as soon as possible. It is our understanding that the Ministry has made rectification of the problem their highest priority and is already informing post secondary institutions of the potential miscalculations.

| | Snow | SD43 schools open, delayed start at Anmore Elementary.
| SD43 schools will be open today and starting at their usual times, with the exception of Anmore Elementary which will operate with a delayed start of 10am for students. With more snow than forecast overnight, the school district reminds parents that the decision to send their children to school is their own based on the safety of their children in their immediate circumstance. The school fully understands that parents may choose to delay bringing their children to school or keep them home altogether given the wintery conditions.
