Gleneagle Secondary’s ConX Leadership students achieved another milestone in organizing the district’s first ever STEAM-based Conference, XSteamCon at Moody Middle School.
Over 400 students, staff, and esteemed guests, participated in the conference gaining a whole new understanding and appreciation for science, technology, engineering, arts and math!
Students were divided into groups and participated in eight different workshops learning various topics such as design thinking, using technology to interpret data and help with climate change, coding with Micro:bits, exploring Pascal’s principle on force and pressure, application of acoustic sensors, robotics and the use AI technology, designing water bottle rockets, power of hydraulics, and so much more!
Did you know it took the ConXLeadership group almost a whole year to plan and fundraise all on their own to make this event possible?
Thank you once again to the ConX Leadership students and to sponsor teacher Mr. Hayes for making this STEAM initiative a reality!
Thank you to our esteemed guests:
