Six SD43 schools had the honour of hosting The Honourable Judith Guichon, Lieutenant Governor of British Columbia, as part of the Canada 150 tour to celebrate the 150th anniversary of Canada’s Confederation.
The Lieutenant Governor of British Columbia visited Riverside Secondary, Pitt River Middle, Eagle Mountain Middle, Heritage Woods Secondary, Aspenwood Elementary and Walton Elementary over two days from March 28-29 as part of her overall tour that will see her visit 150 schools in British Columbia.
During her visits, she spoke with SD43 students about her role in Canada’s constitutional monarchy, encouraged students’ participation in our democracy and shared ideas about a healthy and sustainable future for all.
