Every year a number of students at Best and around the world write Advanced Placement (AP) Exams. The exam scores are reported on a 5-point scale, where a 5 is equivalent to a grade of A in the corresponding university course. AP exams are the equivalent of a college or university level exam and offer academically prepared students the opportunity to earn college credit while still in high school.
Jessica Fraser, Dr. Charles Best Secondary graduate of 2014 (French Immersion student and recipient of the Governor General’s Award), has been recognized by the College Board for her perfect score of 5 for an exam she wrote in May 2014. Jessica not only received the top score of 5, but in doing so, was one of fourteen students in the world to earn every point possible on the AP French Language and Culture Exam, answering every multiple choice question correctly and earning full points on the free-response section of the exam. We applaud her outstanding accomplishment.
