This is a self-directed course.  Students must do some combination of scriptwriting and directing depending on the talents and interests of the student.  The exact nature of each project is determined through consultation with the teacher.  Students should have completed at least two acting courses in the Gleneagle Performing Arts Program to be eligible to take this course.  Students will be asked to mentor younger, less experienced actors and will also be expected to lead warm ups and help in class discussions and directing.  Students are expected to learn through experience, and to give the teacher feedback about what has been learned through some sort of medium, such as a journal, report, or essay.  Not all students successfully mount stage productions, but evidence of credible progress towards that goal is sufficient to earn credit.
