Green Team
The Gleneagle Green Team wants to support projects that make a difference in our school and out in our community.  New members are always welcome.

Our current projects include:

Adopt-a-Trail: Through the City of Coquitlam ‘Adopt a Trail’ program, Gleneagle Secondary has adopted the Scott Creek Trail (along Scott Creek from Guildford Way to Runnel Drive).  We are responsible for picking up garbage, cleaning graffiti, and overall stream monitoring.  We will be going out after school (rain or shine – dress for the weather) on the second and fourth Tuesdays starting October 13th.  Please meet in room 204 at 3:20 these Tuesdays if you would like to come out and get involved.  **There will be an important training session on Tuesday, October 6th at 3:30 in room 204.

Garden: We will be planting a vegetable garden in our plot at the Scott Creek Community Gardens.  Work on the garden will take place on Wednesdays 3:30-4:30, and likely be more frequent in the spring.  Please meet in room 204 on Wednesdays if you would like to join this porject.

Blue Bin Recycling: We will be collecting recyclable rigid plastics, glass, and metal cans so they will be recycled instead of ending up in the landfill.  Collection will occur on Thursdays 8:15-8:45.  Please meet in room 204 at 8:15 if you would like to help out.

For more information about any of these projects or about how you can get involved, please contact Ms. Mulder (qmtk@sd43.bc.ca) or Ms. Voykin (tvoykin@sd43.bc.ca).
