To kick off 2026, RAPS is launching their annual Car Lottery and 50/50 Raffle, featuring a brand-new 2026 Nissan Leaf generously donated by their largest sponsor, Applewood Auto Group (for the third year in a row). The donated vehicle will be displayed at shopping centres across the Lower Mainland, and volunteers help by engaging with the public and raising awareness of RAPS’ rescue and community programs. This is a fun, meaningful, and accessible way for students to: Students are welcome to volunteer with a friend or family member. Anyone under 16 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Brief training is provided a few days before the event. **We are planning to bring adoptable kittens to these events also** ⚠️ Important Commitment Notice Shopping centres require that a minimum of two volunteers remain with the vehicle at all times. Are you looking for an adventure for next Summer? If you will be 16 or 17 next Summer, this six-week summer program could allow you to spend July and August in Quebec, improve your French skills, and gain (paid) work experience, at minimal cost.
In the Lower Mainland, each English-speaking participant is matched with a French-speaking participant from Québec, and the two youth are hosted in one another’s homes to deepen their cultural experience. Youth are also provided with a full-time summer job in the non-profit sector where they will be paid the provincial minimum wage.

- Shifts will be scheduled according to operational times and may vary week over week.

- Training: Training for Playland positions will begin at the end of April and run through the month into May.

Join the B & B Contracting team and work a minimum of 80 paid hours as a part of their Spring Break Work Experience, March 16 - 27. Hourly pay rate is $25.
For years, B & B Contracting has offered a Spring Break Work Experience opportunity, geared towards students in grade 12 who are interested in civil construction. Some of the past students turned this opportunity into a career; many of past Spring Break students are now permanent B&B employees!
Students will be provided orientation and skills training before being dispatched on site. Over the course of two weeks, team members will provide paid hands-on training to this cohort, giving valuable insight into this growing industry. Students will be provided with a company orientation, Green Hard Hat training, WHIMS training, as well as small tool training. They will be matched with an on-site mentor to guide them through the day-to-day of the site. Students will be working hands-on, learning about the various roles in the field. They will work with a crew on an active site while being assigned tasks and shadowing experienced labourers and foremen.
Students must have their own transportation to get to and from the job site. Sites will be in various locations across the Lower Mainland, and standard work hours will be 7 am to 3 pm, with the opportunity for overtime in some cases. Reliable transportation is a must-have for this program.

5. Hydration Station Attendant o Manage hydration stations, ensuring players and spectators have access to water and snacks.

"We are a non-profit that has been providing outdoor-based camps for ages 5-12 and other programs in the Tri-Cities since 2019. Our goal is to empower and inspire youth and create community. We are always looking for kind, patient, and respectful people to volunteer. We hope that our strongest volunteers eventually become staff.
Our activities at camp include swimming, boating, active games, sports, table games, arts and crafts, talent shows, and more based on the interests of participants. Our out-trips include places such as White Pine Beach, the Coquitlam River, Zone Bowling, Crash Crawly's (when heavy rain is forecast), and pools, parks, and playgrounds throughout the Tri-Cities.
In the summer, we are also offering camps in Burnaby, New Westminster, Vancouver West Side, Richmond, Ridge Meadows, North Vancouver, Langley, and Surrey."
