History 12 Cuban Missile Crisis Simulation

In 20th Century World History 12 we just finished a Cuban Missile Crisis simulation, which pitted the US ExComm team against the USSR Council of Foreign Ministers team.
Welcome to Heritage Woods Secondary

Heritage Woods is a comprehensive secondary school serving 1400 students in grades 9-12. Nestled in an urban forest setting in Port Moody, all classrooms have access to natural light The school also boasts a 325 seat professional theatre and a full sports complex including a rubberized track and synthetic field. Technological advancements include an updated wireless network. At HWSS we take great pride in welcoming the community into our building and teaching our students the importance of giving back. The Heritage Woods Secondary Logo was created by Coast Salish artist, Xwalacktun (aka Rick Harry) who is of Squamish and Kwakwak'wakw ancestry.
HWSS Kicks off National Indigenous History Month

June is National Indigenous History Month and National Indigenous People’s Day is on June 21st (we will celebrate as a school on the 20th), and the purpose of this month and day is to celebrate their incredibly rich, vibrant and unique cultures, histories, and heritages.

We were very fortunate to have the Squamish Ocean Canoe family share their history and culture with us today through traditional song, drumming and dance.
