ββββThe Terry Fox Student Voice Committee is a small, representative committee of students at TFSS that have been advising school staff on issues at Fox and talking about how to address them. Every year, they create a survey so that they can hear from ALL students about Student Culture, Academics & Learning, and Inclusion.
This year (2024-2025), the results of the survey led the SVC to choose Building Empathy as a school goal. To that end, they created the following video, brought in a speaker to speak with all students (Dave Jonsson), and hosted a Capacity Cafe in February so that teachers could hear directly from students about their experience at Fox.β
βLast year (in 2023-2024), the Student Voice Committee chose to focus on Washroom Safety, and created this video. Since then, according to the most recent SVC Survey, 42% of students feel more comfortable using the washrooms!
