Rainforest Adventure CampsTri-CitiesLinkNo

Rainforest Adventure Camps is a non-profit that has been providing outdoor-based camps for ages 5-12 and other programs in the Tri-Cities since 2019.  Their goal is to empower and inspire youth and create community and are always looking for kind, patient, and respectful people to volunteer. The hope is that the strongest volunteers eventually become staff.

Their activities at camp include swimming, boating, active games, sports, table games, arts and crafts, talent shows, and more based on the interests of participants. The out-trips include places such as White Pine Beach, Rocky Point, Crash Crawly's (when heavy rain is forecast), and pools, parks, and playgrounds throughout the Tri-Cities.

If you are looking for a fun place to get volunteer hours or potentially explore a future career, fill out the volunteer application form on their website at www.RFcamps.com in the Volunteer section.

XdHacks Mini VancouverNo
XdHacks Mini Vancouver is a nonprofit hackathon organization that is dedicated to teaching students the importance of interdisciplinary learning in the modern technology industry. There is an opportunity to become an Ambassador for their event coming this summer! For more information about this organization: https://mini.xdhacks.com/about

What does an Ambassador do? The ambassadors are going to be preparing for the hackathon throughout April to June by advertising the event and helping with other tasks such as setting up the hackathon, and having a voice in how the hackathon will turn out. On the days of the event, June 29 - 30, ambassadors are going to be able to monitor and manage the event itself by participating in activities, workshops, and interacting with attendees.

Some of the benefits students can gain are:

  • Volunteer hours, experience, and skills in managing social media platforms.
  • Experiences with STEM and other organizations.
  • Networking with other schools and students in the lower mainland.
