​Reliable and enthusiastic youth volunteers (age 14+) are needed to assist with the children's Spring Break Camps running:

Week 1: March 16–20, 2026
Week 2: March 23–27, 2026

Camps include visual arts, dance, drama, music, and fibre arts.

Volunteers help escort students, take attendance, assist in classrooms,

supervise breaks, and support sign-in/sign-out procedures. This is a great

opportunity for students interested in education or the arts to gain hands-on experience in a creative environment.

 Shift Options:

  • Full Day: 8:15 AM – 4:00 PM
  • Morning: 8:15 AM – 12:45 PM
  • Afternoon: 12:00 PM – 4:00 PM (Not available for Week 2)

Full Day and Morning volunteers must arrive at 8:00 AM on the first Monday.
All accepted volunteers must attend a mandatory orientation on Friday, March 13 | 4:30–6:00 PM (in-person).

Students must commit to all 5 days of at least one week.
Application deadline: Friday, March 6, 2026.

Interested students can email volunteer@placedesarts.ca with their preferred and second-choice shift.

Program Details: SATURDAYS

  • Dates: March 7th – June 6th (No class on March 21, 28, April 4)

The festival takes place May 25-May 31, 2026 on Granville Island.

Students must be:

  • 15 years or older at their first shift
  • Able to attend 2 shifts (~14 hours) minimum
  • Access to a working email and phone 

Any volunteer who completes over 24 hrs of service will be eligible for a reference letter from the Volunteer Team

Who can qualify as an instructor? Students need to be at minimum 16 years old within the calendar year that they work at camp.
