Often the personal fitness goals, nutrition interests, body image questions and activity choices for females are best met in a comfortable, fun and non-judgmental environment of an all-female class. This course will appeal to all females, whether you bring a highly competitive team sport background or a limited sport activity history. This course will provide a supportive and informative platform for improving oneβs overall physical, mental and emotional health. A variety of fitness concepts and pursuits will be offered. Some of which may include aerobics, step aerobics, running, walking, bootcamps and yoga as well as less traditional activities like Aquafit and Zumba may be explored. There will also be a focus on nutrition, leadership, motivational coaching, and fitness theory. Students will also learn the fundamentals of muscular conditioning in activities like weight training and yoga, as well as circuit training using a variety of contemporary fitness equipment. They will use this knowledge to create and participate in an independent fitness program geared to their personal fitness goals.
