Departments
The Office of the Superintendent leads the school district, working with the Board of Education to support student success. It oversees school operations, supports staff, and ensures high-quality learning, while providing regular public updates to keep the community informed.
SD43’s Communications and Community Relations Department manages communications, media relations, community partnerships, and freedom of information processes. It is headed by the Assistant Director of Communications and Community Relations, reporting to the Superintendent of Schools.
Facilities Services oversees the use, maintenance, construction, and renovation of more than 70 district buildings. Its work supports the effective operation and long-term stewardship of all school and administrative buildings.
SD43’s Financial and Corporate Services Department is responsible for key financial functions including payroll, accounting, budgeting and financial reporting. The department additionally administers procurement, risk management, and facility rentals.

Purchasing Services supports all SD43 departments by providing expertise in procurement, risk management, and supply chain operations, while identifying innovative purchasing approaches.
