Music and Preforming Arts

Preform with Aspenwood!

Music provides students with opportunities to develop creativity, confidence, collaboration, and performance skills. Aspenwood offers several opportunities throughout the year for students to share their talents both within our school and throughout the community.

Our music programs are led by dedicated staff members who generously volunteer their time to provide enriching experiences for students beyond the regular school day.

Year-Round Music Programs

Choir (Grades 4 & 5)

Usual Sessions: Fall, Winter, and Spring

Students practice twice a week during lunch hours and perform at a variety of school and community events, including assemblies, farmers' markets, holiday performances, and more.

Ukulele Club (Grades 4 & 5)

Usual Sessions: Fall, Winter, and Spring

Students meet once or twice a week during lunch hours to learn songs, chords, and performance skills. Students are encouraged to bring their own ukulele to support practice at home.

Christmas Concert

School-Wide Performance

When: December

A highlight of the school year is Aspenwood's annual Christmas Concert. This special event brings our school community together to celebrate the holiday season through music, performance, and school spirit.

Every student at Aspenwood participates in the concert, showcasing the learning and preparation that takes place in classrooms leading up to the event. Our Grade 5 students take on additional leadership and performance roles, helping make the concert a memorable experience for students and families.

The Christmas Concert provides students with an opportunity to develop confidence, performance skills, and a sense of community while sharing their talents with others.

Thank You to Our Volunteers

Our music programs thrive because of the staff members who volunteer their lunch hours and personal time to support students. Their commitment allows students to explore new interests, develop their talents, and build confidence through performance. We are grateful for everything they do to make these opportunities possible for Aspenwood students.
