AfterGrad Parent Volunteering
Attention Grade 12 parents!
We need your help for the AfterGrad party to bring a fantastic memory to our kids.
Why volunteer:
- Without your help, the AfterGrad party cannot happen
- Provide a safe and fun environment for the kids to celebrate their achievement
- It is your last chance to watch your kids' high school events
Volunteer Positions are listed as below. Please sign up as soon as possible!

Note:
- Most volunteering is for during the event, but some positions are needed before
- You can sign up for one time slot (usually 2 hours) or multiple time slots
- If you are flexible, you can sign up as a “Volunteer At Large" and comment what you prefer

Transportation Supervisor (8 spots) - Sat. 10:00 pm - 12:00 am
- Transporter Supervisors need to drive and park their own cars at Central City Fun Park at 10:00 PM, then they ride the car driven by the volunteer parent drivers to the Pinnacle Hotel
- 2 volunteers per bus
- At the Pinnacle Hotel, Transportation Supervisors must pick-up the Grads intending to ride the shuttle bus to AfterGrad (at 11:00 PM)
- Travel with Grads in the shuttle bus from the Pinnacle Hotel to Central City Fun Park (at 12:00 AM)
- Supervise Grads in the shuttle bus
- After arriving at Central City Fun Park, Transportation Supervisors may drive their own car to go back home
Drivers for Parents (3 spots) - Sat. 10:00 pm – Sat. 11:45 pm
- Pick up Transportation Supervisors at Central City Fun Park before 10:00 PM
- Drive the Transportation Supervisors to the Pinnacle Hotel
- Parents drivers may go home once they arrive at the Pinnacle Hotel
Prize Distributor (8 spots) - Sat. 11:00 pm – Sun. 4:00 am
- Work with the Prize Coordinator to design the Prize Table
- Have 4 people on at all the times, E.g. 4 spots for 11:00 PM -1:30 AM, 4 spots for 1:30- 4:00 AM
- Early starters need to setup Prize Tables
- Closing people will need to help with clean up Prize Tables
- Collect and supervise raffle tickets during the entire event
- Explain and inform Grads about the prizes throughout the night
- Announce the winner at 1:00 AM, 2:00 AM and 3:00 AM
Food Delivery Helper (4 spots) - Sat. 7:00 pm – Sat. 11:00 pm
- Work with the Food Coordinator to decide and shop for food and drinks before the event
- Deliver the pre-purchased food and drinks to Central City Fun Park
- All the food need to be delivered to Central City Fun Park by Sat 11:00 PM
Coat Check (6 spots) - Sat. 11:00 pm - Sun. 4:00 am
- Setup coat racks and coat check station (Sat 11:00 PM – Sun 1:30 AM)
- Coat checking through the night
- Strike down coat check station (Sun 1:30 AM – Sun 4:00 AM)
- Note: Extra help needed during busy times from 11:00 PM to 12:30 AM and 3:00 AM to 4:00 AM
Event Setup (10 spots) - Sat. 11:00 pm - Sun. 12:30 am
- Arrive at Central City Fun Park at 11:00 PM to setup
- Decorate the facility for the PMSS theme
- Setup photo booth, prize table, and other stations
Registration (15 spots) - Sat. 11:00 pm - Sun. 12:30 am
- Welcome the Grads to the party and confirm their registration
- Collect admission tickets and distribute the pre-purchased Fun Passes for the arcade
- Make sure no one enters under the influence of alcohol or drugs (In case it happens, call the security)
- Registration cut off time is 12:30 AM
- Note: Extra help needed during busy time from 11:00 PM to 12:30 AM
Security Supervisor (12 spots) - Sat. 11:30 pm – Sun. 4:00 am
- Work in pairs to make sure Grads don't leave the premises (In case it happens, call the security)
- At 11:30 monitoring students entering venue and once all in, walking around ensuring youths are acting appropriately
- Checking washrooms every ½
- Report to security or administrator of any misappropriate actions
Dance/Rink Floor Supervisor (4 spots) - Sun. 12:00 am – Sun. 4:00 am
- Supervise the dance floor and assist staff with music requests
Bowling/Arcade/Main Floor Supervisor (8 spots) - Sun. 12:00 am – Sun. 4:00 am
- General supervision to make sure Grads are having fun and not abusing arcade games/bowling lanes
- Monitoring to keep food/drinks out of the arcade area
Food Station Helper (10 spots) - Sat. 11:00 pm – Sun. 4:00 am
- 5 people on for first 2 ½ hours and 5 people on for last 2 ½ hours
- First half volunteers will help with setup of tables and display of foods ( Sat. 11:00 PM – Sun. 1:30 AM)
- Last half volunteers will help with food and monitoring but also clean up ( Sun. 1:30 AM – Sun. 4:00 AM)
- Help food/drinks/snacks/candy station distribution
- Monitor to make sure that food does not leave the banquet room
Photo Helper (2 spot) - Sun. 12:00 am – Sun. 4:00 am
- Take photo with Grads' own phones for group photos
- No camera required
Volunteer At Large (10 spots) - Sat. 11:00 am – Sun. 4:00 am
- Flexible
- Volunteer to fill jobs that require help
- Additional Security
- Hand out water to volunteers

APRIL 4, 2022 UPDATE
DEAR GRAD PARENTS - We'd love you help in supporting AfterGrad 2022 to reduce the ticket costs and be able provide food and prizes to the graduates. AfterGrad provides the Grade 12's with a fun and safe place to celebrate after their formal ceremony.
