Special Guest: Doug Brown (Port Moody Secondary – Class of ’92)
We welcome 2016 inductee to the Canadian Football Hall of Fame, Doug Brown, as the speaker at this year's breakfast. His football journey began at Port Moody Secondary in 1991, winning a provincial championship with the Blues. Doug then continued as a student‑athlete at Simon Fraser University, earning NAIA All‑American honours in 1996 before later being inducted into the SFU Athletics Hall of Fame in 2012. His journey then brought him to the NFL, where he played for both Buffalo (1997) and Washington (1998 to 1999), before returning to Canada in 2001. Doug played for the Winnipeg Blue Bombers for more than a decade and was a powerful force on the field. He was an eight‑time CFL Division All‑Star, seven‑time CFL All‑Star, and the 2001 CFL Most Valuable Canadian. He is currently on the broadcast team for the Winnipeg Blue Bombers and lives with his family in Winnipeg. We are excited to welcome Doug back to Port Moody!
