Sophie Lui (Class of ’92)
Sophie Lui, the Anchor of Global News Hour at 6 PM, has built an outstanding career in broadcasting. Among her many accolades are the Leo Award for Best Host for her travel program Get Lost, a 2023 Canadian Screen Award for Best Local Newscast (along with her Global BC News colleagues), and the Shelley Fralic Award from The Jack Webster Foundation. Most recently, she was presented with the prestigious King Charles III Coronation Medal. We are excited to welcome Sophie back to Port Moody Secondary
Justina “Juice” DiStasio (Class of ’10)
Justina DiStasio is a celebrated freestyle wrestler who has proudly represented Canada on the world stage. Her achievements include being a World Champion in 2018, Gold medalist at the Pan-Am Championships in 2017 & 2020, Gold Medalist at the Pan-American Games in 2019, and the Commonwealth Games Champion in 2022. She is now a teacher in the Burnaby School District. Justina’s wrestling journey began right here at Port Moody Secondary under the guidance of Coach Selwyn Tam, and we are thrilled to welcome her back.
