UOttawa - Bled Leadership Forum for Black and Indigenous Youth
  • The Bled Future Achievers Leadership Forum (BFALF) features interactive programming that promotes leadership, confidence, self-exploration, cross-community collaboration, and financial literacy as tools for creating positive change in their communities. The forum is all expenses paid which include transportation to and from Ottawa, accommodations and meals, programming and transportation during the forum.

UBC Black and Indigenous MD Admissions Workshop
and Mini Med Schools
  • We are excited to be holding our Black and Indigenous MD Admissions Workshop and Mini Med Schools this summer in June and July 2026. The workshops will take place in-person in Prince George, Victoria, Kelowna and Vancouver, BC and will provide Black and Indigenous students with more information about becoming a doctor, the pathway to applying to medical school, and attendees will take part in fun, hands on simulations to see what it's like to be a doctor! Workshop presentations will be given by Indigenous physicians, medical students, and university staff and faculty members. Breakfast and lunch will be provided.

BCIT Preparation for Nursing Education
 Cost: $399.90 (for Domestic students - Int'l fees are typically 3.25 times the domestic tuition)

This course is open to anyone interested in exploring and pursuing a career in nursing. This course aims to provide a comprehensive introduction to nursing through a combination of theoretical and practical learning opportunities. Students will be introduced to the profession of nursing and the healthcare environment while developing the academic skills that are necessary for post-secondary success. This course provides an introduction to professionalism and communication in healthcare, medical terminology, nursing care, the healthcare environment, and quality and safety. It also introduces concepts of respect, diversity, and inclusivity. This 36 hour course is delivered in person, offering hands-on experience in a lab/simulation setting.
