The City of Coquitlam has improved walkability to our school by installing a new sidewalk stretching from Montgomery Street heading west along Edgewood Ave. The sidewalk is on the south side of the street and it stretches all the way towards the Edgewood Ave. round-about driving area near the ravine. This sidewalk structure has thus removed any angular parking along Edgewood Ave. and the city has signs installed restricting parallel parking along the south side and cul-de-sac areas.

We encourage our parent/guardian community to use the round-about on Edgewood Ave. for quick drop -off and pick-up. Please do not park and wait along this stretch of road.  We have also placed a temporary round-about for a trial period of off the south end entrance to the parking lot extended from Kugler Street. There will be cones positioned for a temporary round-about in the south end parking lot to guide drivers through a safety first round-about.

The parking lot areas to the north with entry/exit points onto Edgewood Ave are reserved for staff and extended visitors. The parking lot area will be separated and secured into two halves eliminating any drive through traffic from our front entrance area. Handicapped parking spots are available at both the north side parking lots and the south end parking lot.

Our goal is to reduce the traffic moving into the main entrance way of our school and to encourage families to use drop-off and pick-up points a little further afar from the main areas of the two round-abouts. Your patience and understanding as we try a new traffic flow is greatly appreciated in advance.
