Sarah Husband-Principal
Since 2018 it has been my privilege to serve the parents and students of the Montgomery community. I have worked as an educator in the Coquitlam School District for the past 34 years. It has been my good fortune to have worked at all age levels and communities, including Glen, Irvine and Kilmer Elementary, Citadel and Moody Middle, Terry Fox and Pinetree Secondary as well as Coquitlam Open Learning and Coquitlam Continuing Education. I am also a parent of two young adult children, both of whom also attended Montgomery Middle. My husband also worked at Monty during the transition from a Junior High to Middle School. Lastly Mango, the school PADS dog, joined our school in 2024 and has become a welcome member of my family and Monty. I know first hand what a wonderful community we are part of. I look forward to working and learning together with the staff, students and parents of Ecole Montgomery Middle School.
Beginning July 2026, Kate Shorthouse who is a very experienced school administrator and will be taking over as the Principal of Monty. I will retiring from a wonderful community and a long career in education that begin in 1990.
