June is National Indigenous History Month and National Indigenous People’s Day is on June 21st (we will celebrate as a school on the 20th), and the purpose of this month and day is to celebrate their incredibly rich, vibrant and unique cultures, histories, and heritages.
We were very fortunate to have the Squamish Ocean Canoe family share their history and culture with us today through traditional song, drumming and dance.
