First Day Procedures:
Students in Grades 1 - 5 are to arrive to school between 8:15am and 8:30am.
Students attend in class 8:35am to approximately 9:05am for a welcome back and to confirm their registration.
Grade 1-5 students for 2017/18 who are returning to Glen:
Please line up at the back of the school behind the orange cone with your teacher's name from last year. A teacher will meet you at this spot at 8:35 am and walk you into the school. Students will also be dismissed from this spot by the classroom teacher at the end of the day at 9:05 am.
Returning Grade 1-5 parents: Please wait outside of the school until 9:05am (dismissal time for our first day of school) as we will be welcoming many new students in the open area library. You will see these parents in the school while they accompany their child(ren).
New Registered Grade 1-5 students: Please meet in the library with your parents.
New not yet registered students: Please telephone Glen Elementary School starting Aug 28th (604 464 6608) to make an appointment to register your child(ren).
New Kindergarten students do not attend on the first day. Instead, please phone or email the school office to confirm your attendance (604-464-6608 or Glen@sd43.bc.ca). New Kindergarten students begin a gradual entry starting on Wednesday, Sept. 5th. (Gradual entry was sent to all new kindergarten families.)
