The PAC is entirely run by volunteers, and what the PAC is able to achieve is directly correlated to the efforts of those volunteers. If you have even one hour available to help out, it would be appreciated. Although there may be somewhat standard positions and roles available, if there is something that you are passionate about that is not represented please feel free to suggest it. Even if a role is filled it is likely that you would be able to assist that individual or the the program.

Plant Sale
The plant sale is a long standing fundraising effort which consists of the sale of bedding plants, limited herbs and vegetables, and hanging baskets. These are sold through the PAC, with the PAC receiving partial proceeds. This traditionally takes place in the spring with delivery dates usually in early May.
Coordinator: Alison Lydell
Understudy: this role will help the coordinator for the 2020 plant sale with the expectation that they will take over as coordinator in 2021. Alison has done the plant sale for several years and will be leaving Rochester after the 2020/21 school year. So we need to plan ahead for future years and this opportunity allows for someone to get trained by an expert and have support from that expert the following year before taking full control in 2022.
Pick-up crew (3 or more needed): at least 3 people are needed to coordinate and assemble orders and help distribute the orders.
Fruit and Veg program
[Description of the program is needed here.]
Coordinator: Alison Lydell
Crew: the crew helps wash and prepare the produce and distribute to classrooms.
Entertainment Book Fundraiser
The Entertainment Book fundraiser has historically been the Rochester PAC's most lucrative. Students and there families are asked to evaluate the Entertainment Book and if electing to participate to purchase a book and see if friends and family are interested in a book. The book is available in physical form as well as a digital version (included with the physical book, or cheaper without the book). If this is not a fundraiser that you would like to support you can simply return the book to the school. For students who do participate there are prize incentives available (we do not emphasize the prizes). Information about the fundraiser has been distributed to the school mailing list. The books should be going home 13 Sep 2019.
