Sports

Physical activity is an important part of an elementary school student's experience. It not only improves health, reduces stress and improves concentration, but also promotes healthy physical growth and development.  Exercise has also a positive influence on academic achievement, emotional well being and interaction with others.  Our sports programs aim to develop in our students a positive attitude and an interest in a range of physical activities and to raise awareness in making good health and fitness choices.

Beginning on Friday, Sept. 30, our school will be taking part in the BOKS (Building Our Kids Success) program.  This program will run from 7:50am-8:30am each Friday and will be coordinated by leaderships students from Charles Best Secondary.  For more information about the BOKS program, visit https://www.bokskids.org/.

We will also have volleyball, basketball, Track and Field, Jogging Club, Como Lake Relays, Walk and Wheel Wednesdays, Bounce to the Bell and other opportunities throughgout the year to engage students in exercise.  Stay tuned...
