Back to School Information
The BC Ministry of Education welcomes students back to attend in-class instruction beginning Thursday, September 10th. BC schools are opening this school year in Phase 2 of the Ministry's Restart Plan. https://www2.gov.bc.ca/gov/content/education-training/k-12/covid-19-return-to-school
For planning purposes, we need to determine students who will be attending in-class instruction. This survey asks you to indicate your intentions for school participation and your responses will help our preparedness for the arrival of students.
A central part of the Ministry's plan is the implementation of size-limited Learning Groups. In SD43, a child's class will be considered their Learning Group. Read more here:

Your school's site-specific plans will be shared by your school principal along with this survey.
We look forward to welcoming all students back to district schools. For your reference, below are learning options available to students:
* In-Class Learning: Students attend School District #43 schools organized by Learning Groups.
* School Based Gradual Transition Supports.
* Distributed Learning: Encompass K-9: Students are registered in distributed/online learning program
* Homeschooling: Parents take on the sole responsibility for teaching their child at home without the involvement of BC teachers. The registration process is the responsibility of the parent.
For more information about our learning options, please click on this link: http://www.sd43.bc.ca/learningoptions/Documents/Learning%20Options%20Parent%20Info.pdf
*Note that Homeschooling and Distributed learning requires your child to be non-enrolled at their school. Re-evaluating your registration decision at a later date and opting to attend in-class learning can affect your child's ability to re-join their school if there is a lack of space.
If you have an immunocompromised child, who is under the care of a specialist, and have any questions, please contact your child's principal for more information on our Hospital Home-bound program. B
