Important Information for our Winter Activity Day at Mount Seymour
Students are to be in the gym for attendance at 8:15AM.
Technology-Device-Free Day! Students will leave any electronic device (ex. cell phones, tablets, etc) at home, or at the school in their locker to enjoy their full day of activities. If students need to call parents, they can see one of our staff members for assistance.
Medication: If your child requires medication or inhalers, please ensure your child has this kept accessible in their backpack. If you wish for this to be kept with Maillard Staff, please send it to school in a clear Ziploc bag, with your child's first & last name clearly written on it. Have your child bring this to Mr. McCutcheon to place in the bin. This bin will be kept in the Lodge with one of our Maillard Staff members.
Students should bring:
· Dress weather appropriate: wear warm and layered clothing, waterproof pants and jacket, a toque, gloves, goggles, helmet (skiing/snowboarding) and extra socks.
· Students should also bring their own snacks, ample fluids, lunch or lunch money.
· On-mountain storage facilities are available for a fee, but limited, so bring only what is necessary (do not bring any valuables). Teachers will not supervise belongings and are not responsible for items that are damaged, lost or stolen.
Special Safety Information Pertaining to Field Trip:
Students are required to wear a helmet AT ALL TIMES while skiing and snowboarding, no exceptions.
Everyone is expected to be with a buddy AT ALL TIMES, no exceptions.
Students will be required to meet supervisors to check-in at designated times and are expected to arrive promptly, ready to proceed.
Attendance: if your child becomes ill please notify the school prior to 8AM by calling the school at 604-931-3574 and leave a message on the answering machine, or submitting an Absence Report online

Arrival Time at the School: Anticipated return time is at approximately 2:45PM. Please check the school website for updated arrival times and do not contact the school as we would like to keep the phone lines free to be in contact with staff on the busses.
