We are currently offering a FREE leadership development program for students, and thanks to the support of schools like yours, we’ve been able to consistently fill our cohorts and make a meaningful impact on youth across our community.
About the Program
Our leadership program helps students develop essential life and leadership skills, including:
- Teamwork and communication
- Problem-solving and critical thinking
- Confidence and leadership development
Through interactive workshops, mentorship, and real-world applications, students experience both personal growth and community impact.
Volunteer Hours
Students who participate in this program are eligible to receive up to 15 volunteer hours, which can be applied toward graduation requirements.Fall 2026 Cohort Dates

On behalf of the Election Office at the City of Port Coquitlam as we are looking for Grade 12 students who may be interested in volunteering in the upcoming General Local Election.
Volunteers will be assigned as greeters and will act as the first point of contact for voters entering the polling station. They are there to welcome them, point them in the right direction and answer any questions they may have.
We provide certificates to students who volunteer as they can use these hours to contribute to their required experiential learning hours.

The Port Moody Foundation is looking for enthusiastic high school students to volunteer at the upcoming PoMo Fall Fair, a free, family-friendly community event bringing together local non-profit organizations, games, and activities.
We would greatly appreciate your help sharing this volunteer opportunity with students at your school who may be interested in gaining hands-on community experience and getting involved in Port Moody. Please feel free to spread the word about this opportunity through your school community, including student groups, newsletters, announcements, volunteer boards, staff, and families.
Event Details:
- Date: Saturday, September 26th
- Volunteer time: 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM
- Event Time: 11:00 AM – 2:00 PM
- Location: Inlet Theatre Galleria (Traffic Circle) 100 Newport Drive, Port Moody
Volunteers will help with activity booths, welcome and direct attendees, support the Passport Stamp Tour, assist with setup and takedown, and help create a positive and welcoming experience for the community.
All volunteers will be required to attend a volunteer orientation session prior to the event on Saturday, September 19, 2026. Students who attend orientation and complete their full volunteer shift can reach out to our team to receive a personalized Letter of Recommendation and confirmation of volunteer hours from the Port Moody Foundation, which may be useful for school applications, scholarships, future employment, or community awards.
No previous volunteer experience is required. We are looking for students who are enthusiastic, dependable, and interested in contributing to their community.
