Luck happens when preparation meets opportunity!

Technovation Girls

My name is Ruth, and a student from Heritage Woods Secondary School. This year, I'm honoured to be a Student Ambassador for Technovation Girls, a global nonprofit program that empowers girls (ages 8–18) to become leaders, creators, and problem solvers through technology and entrepreneurship.

Each year, Technovation Girls hosts a free international competition where teams of girls identify a real-world problem in their community and develop a mobile app or AI solution to address it — with guidance from mentors and educators. It's an incredible opportunity for students to build coding, teamwork, and leadership skills while making a positive impact.

This year's Technovation Challenge is officially kicking off, and students can register for the challenge TODAY! It would be great if you could please help spread the word by posting the attached flyer on your school's website, announcement, or sharing in any other ways with your students.

If any students or teachers are interested in learning more, they can visit: https://technovationchallenge.org.

If they have any questions, feel free to let them email me at: ruthzhang713@gmail.com

Thank you so much again!

Warm regards,

Ruth Zhang

We are reaching out to share an exciting update: the Summer Science Program (SSP) application deadline for Canadian applicants is officially being extended by 1 week for any Canadian student who starts their application by this Thursday.

That means any Canadian applications started by this Thursday 1/29 will be granted an extended submission deadline of February 5th!

We are expanding our outreach to students in Canada, particularly because we will be running two programs at the University of Guelph in Ontario, in addition to other programs at United States-based campuses.
