Applications are now open for the Forum for Young Canadians National Summit. Forum 2027 will welcome 300 youth from across Canada to Ottawa for one of three week-long sessions of behind-the-scenes access to Parliament Hill, conversations with decision makers, and hands-on simulations of the democratic process. 

 Program dates:

  • February 7-12, 2027
  • February 28 - March 5, 2027
  • April 18-23, 2027

UBC Department of Orthopaedics and BC Children’s Hospital are inviting students to attend the annual Fall Women in Orthopaedics (WORTH) workshop on Saturday October 17th, from 9 am to 12:30 pm. for female students interested in pursuing a career in healthcare and engineering, specifically in orthopaedics. The aim is to provide more insight and clarity on careers particularly in the areas of orthopaedics and engineering.

 A half-day curriculum has been developed and is focused on giving information on different career paths related to Orthopaedics specifically, and science and medicine generally. Here is the tentative schedule outlined, **please note the schedule is subject to change based on registration numbers but date and start time are set. The workshop will take place at BC Children’s Hospital. There will also be a virtual option. Register early as spots fill up.
