BCIT Health Sciences prep opportunities
Two New Course Options for High School Students:
  • Announcing two new health sciences preparation courses for current high school students, starting July 2026. 
  • Healthcare Horizons is an online microcredential course for students in grades 10-12 who want to explore the world of healthcare. Learners will gain and understanding of Canada's healthcare system and the wide range of professionals who make it function effectively. With an optional one day on campus in person experience, this course helps students learn what kind of health career paths might suit them best. 
  • Preparation for Nursing Education is a one-week in-person course designed for individuals who are interested in pursuing a Nursing degree and want to learn more about the profession, the skills, and what's required of a nursing student.

Youth Excellence Society Summer Camps
  • The YES offers Vancouver Island, British Columbia summer camp programs for 14-18 year olds. Expand your leadership and team building skills while connecting with youth from around the province. We look forward to providing community spaces that focus on building leadership, resiliency, connection, mental wellness and more.
