Kids’ Christmas Market Information 2019
Montgomery Middle will be hosting its 10th annual Christmas Market throughout the day on Friday, November 29th. All students will have an opportunity to shop for unbelievably priced gifts, ranging from $1 to $5, for family members and other special people in their lives. There will be a gift-wrapping station so gifts are ready to go under the tree. Think of the big surprise on Christmas morning, when you open the carefully chosen gift from your child; the one they bought thinking it was perfect for you.
Why do we have a Christmas Market? To raise funds and awareness for supporting others in our school and community through Share’s Angel Program. This program provides families with gifts and food donations that they would otherwise not have. It is a great opportunity to talk with your children about what that will mean to these families. In addition, having your children do extra chores around the house, or helping in other ways, to earn their spending money will help them acknowledge their contributions.
Where do the gifts come from? You. We all have the opportunity to clear out those things we don't really use any more, re-gift those lovely, but not really you, items you've received over the years. You can donate those ornaments you no longer have room for on the tree or that wrap, tissue paper and gift bags you're tired of seeing year after year. If you have items to donate, please send them to the donation bin outside the office between nowt and Friday November 22th. Last year was such a tremendous success thanks to the many donations from our families.
Volunteers are important in helping to make the market a success. Thank you to everyone who has already contacted me to let me know they are able to help. More volunteers are still needed; any time you can spare is appreciated. Please contact Linda Intihar to volunteer: firstname.lastname@example.org.
