Financial Assistance
The City of Port Coquitlam’s Financial Assistance program supports active lifestyles and healthy communities by offering inclusive recreation programs and services at a reduced cost for individuals.
If your financial circumstances make it difficult for you to pay the full fee for programs, you may qualify for financial assistance. All recipients will receive a One City Pass for the duration of the approved calendar year, which provides free entry to drop-in swimming, skating, fitness, racquetball/squash and all-age gym sports across the City.
- Adult recipients will also have the option to receive a total of $200 per calendar year and a 75% discount toward the cost of recreation programs and memberships.
- Children and youth recipients (0 – 18 years old) will have the option to receive a total of $500 per calendar year and a 75% discount toward the cost of recreation programs and memberships.
Applications for 2025 Financial Assistance will open December 1, 2024.

KIDSPORT Sport Grant for Programs

Children 18 and younger could be eligible for up to $500 per child, per calendar year (January – December). Parent/guardians may apply more than one time in a calendar year but the total amount of grant(s) that will be given will not exceed $500
- Sport activities must be affiliated with the member sport organizations of Sport BC and demonstrate a sustained sport experience (a season of sport led by a qualified coach) for a minimum of 6 weeks and include at least one session per week. - Base registrations fees only are eligible. Camps, tryouts, equipment, travel, fundraising and championships do not qualify.
