Physical activity is an important part of an elementary school student’s life. It improves health, concentration and self-esteem. It also reduces stress and promotes physical growth and development.
Our sports programs aim to develop in our students a positive attitude and an interest in a wide range of physical activities. They also aim to raise student’s awareness in making good health and fitness choices. Students participates in daily physical activity through their class PE programs.
At Panorama students are exposed to several activities. Throughout the year we have volleyball and basketball teams/leagues with our grade five students. In the spring we offer a cross country running program for grades 3-5 that culminates in the District Como Lake Relays run. In April and May, students in grades 3-5 have the opportunity to participate in our Track and Field program. Like the Como Lake Relays, selected participants to our track and field program get to participate in the District Track and Field day at Town Center Stadium.
In addition to these programs parents have an opportunity to register their child for a variety of after school programs hosted by the community Do What You Love program. Activities vary throughout the year and parents must register and pay for these programs.
