Good afternoon, 

The environmental clean-up efforts have been completed on the Hillcrest school grounds.   All students will be released at the usual time and in the usual manner.

UPDATE 12:20pm

Parents/ Guardians, 

All is under control at Hillcrest with the Fire Department and Hazmat Team continuing their clean up efforts in the west side parking lot due to an environmental spill. The Fire Commander has given us the okay condition to have our students enjoy access to the grass and gravel fields during our upcoming lunch break. We will have extra staffing on our field perimeters to ensure students continue with their regular expected lunch hour activities. 

There is no need to come to the school as we continue with our normal daily schedules of classes and activities with our students in classroom care.

We will continue to update as the day proceeds.

Hillcrest Parents and Guardians, 

Our school community is currently in a Hold and Secure position with our students due to an environmental event that is currently being dealt with by our Police and Fire Department. All students have been on a Hold and Secure for their Nutrition Break and we are pleased to say that our student community were very respectful in following their instructions to stay inside the building.

The Fire Department and Hazmat team expect a quick recovery of the area and we ill notify our parent/ guardian community when the Hazmat team has informed us of a return to normal school schedules.

We will give an updated notice as soon as we are notified of an all clear.
