​Hazel Trembath is an exemplary school because of the dedicated efforts of our staff and parents who contribute to our school in positive ways. 

We have an exceptionally supportive Parent Advisory Counsel that meets regularly and volunteers a great deal of its time to support our staff and students. 

Our School Planning Counsel is an active task force, committed to school improvement.  This past year, our SPC initiated the creation of a beautiful new school sign to improve the visibility of our school’s location, made improvements to the walkways and drainage in our parent parking lot, and got approval for the opening of Hazelwood Daycare, which operates on-site and offers before, during and after school care for children of all ages. 

Our parent-led Publishing House is a school-wide initiative which involves parents in the most important work we do: helping students with their learning!  Every year, all students are provided the opportunity to bring their written work to the published stage and create their very own bound and published works of art.  Samples of these wonderful books can be found displayed in our foyer.

As part of our daily physical activities, all students are invited to the gym twice a week to participate in our school-wide aerobics program: “Bounce to the Bell”.  At the opening of this gathering, we take time to focus on and learn more about our Social Responsibility Virtues.  We do this through discussions, student presentations and skits.  The names of four lucky students are also drawn to win fabulous prizes for demonstrating socially responsible behaviors at school.  This is followed by an upbeat workout led by teachers and our very own HT student dance team!​
