Physical activity is an important part of a middle school student’s life. It improves health, concentration and self-esteem. It also reduces stress and promotes physical growth and development.
Our sports programs aim to develop in our students a positive attitude and an interest in a wide range of physical activities. They also aim to raise student’s awareness in making good health and fitness choices.
October 11, 2022 Athletic Update
Grade 6 Volleyball – Tuesdays and Fridays at lunch – starts next week and runs until mid November. There will be a jamboree at the end, date TBD
Grade 7 Volleyball – Girls & Boys Practice Monday & Thursday afterschool 3-4pm until the end of November.
Grade 8 Girls Volleyball – Practice Monday & Thursday at lunch until the end of November
Grade 8 Boys Volleyball – Practice Thursday mornings 8-840 and Friday afterschool 3-4pm until the end of November
Grade 5 Volleyball Jamboree - November 29th, 2022
The Grade 5 volleyball jamboree at Citadel will be November 29th. 3:15-6:45
Volleyball Update for tournaments –
Grade 7 Girls tournament will be at Citadel 3:30-6pm - Tuesday, November 22nd
Winner of the round robin play will go to Kway for the semi-finals and finals following the round robin games.
Grade 7 Boys tournament will be at Monty 3:30-5pm - Tuesday, November 22nd
Winner will go to Eagle Mountain for the semi finals and finals following the round robin games.
Grade 8 tournaments have been pushed back a week. The “B" tournament will be Nov 23 & 24. The “A" tournament will be Nov 30 & Dec 1.
Round robin play is the first day and the semi finals and finals will take place the following team for teams making it through to the next round.
Girls Basketball starts November 1st, 7:40am in the gym. Open to all girls in Grades 6, 7 and 8
