Principal's message

​Banting Middle School: Sir Frederick Banting Middle School is a grade 6-8 middle school with a population of 510 students.  We have English and Early French Immersion programs.  Sixty percent of our classes are English and forty percent are French Immersion.  Our exploration programs offer technology/STEM, music and drama, visual arts, technology education and home economics.  At Banting we focus on teaching and mentoring the whole child; heart, body, and mind.  We are an inclusive school and we take pride in our diversity and our school focus on SR (self - regulation) and SEL (socio -emotional learning).  Our Mission Statement: Ecole Banting Middle School provides a supportive environment which promotes the active participation of students in their intellectual, cultural, physical, and social development, enabling them to contribute responsibly in our changing world.  Our students thrive on the opportunities, responsibilities and high expectations at Banting.   The Banting Blaze live by the PRIDE and FIERTE code.  PRIDE: P-power of courage  R - respect and responsibility  I - inclusion  D - determination  E - empathy  .....  and  .....
