Last month a fire at the Mountain Vew Co-op destroyed 48 apartments leaving 140 people homeless. These families lost everything and are now trying to find new housing, replace all their belongings and rebuild. It is a very difficult time for them. We as a school have volunteered to provide 19 hampers to help make these families Xmas a little brighter. What is your favourite Christmas food. What do you always look forward to when you sit for dinner on Christmas day. Is it the turkey, mashed potatoes and gravy or maybe a special dessert that one of your family members always makes. Whatever it is, we are all very fortunate to be in our homes surrounded by our family. Over the next 12 days we are collecting hamper items to help those Mountain View families who lost their homes and everything in it through their first Christmas. Can you think of items that your family could give to brighten up their Xmas dinner? Please have your son/daughter bring the items to school. Thank you.
