Music and Band
Monty does Rock! The Montgomery Music Department offers many different opportunities and special events for students to take advantage of. Playing a variety of musical styles and repertoire while learning an instrument and meeting new friends is a great way to spend your middle school years.
Beginner Band and Advanced Band are credit courses and students are expected to participate for the full year to gain enough skills to really explore their ability and fully experience being a part of a musical group. Band is a wonderful opportunity for students meet new friends while learning to play a new instrument.
Being involved in music, and learning a musical instrument extends brain neuron growth that continues to prove to increase acedemic abilities and skills. Music becomes a life skill and tool that will reward students throughout their lives.
