Parents of Grade 12 Students: We Need Your Help! 
Every year Charles Best hosts an After Grad (also known as a 'Dry Grad') at the school for our graduating students after the Graduation Dinner Dance held downtown Vancouver. The students take a bus directly back to Charles Best School where the After Grad Party will be waiting for them. This alcohol and drug-free event is a fun and exciting celebration with a huge variety of activities, games and incredible prizes all designed to keep our kids entertained and safe until the wee hours of the morning. In past years, over 90% of graduates have attended so there is a 9 in10 chance your child will be attending After Grad.
 
After Grad is organized and run by a volunteer committee of Grade 12 parents and will cost over $50,000 to hold. The money for this event comes entirely from fundraisers that the Committee holds during the school year. No money comes from school fees, the school or the school district to fund this event.
 
Our first fundraiser for the year is the 'Grade 12 Parent Halloween Dinner Dance' on October 24th at the Port Moody Legion. Tickets are $67.50 and include an all-you-can eat buffet, dessert, professional DJ for dancing, toonie toss, 50/50 draw and prizes for best Halloween costumes. It will be an amazing event but we need to sell more tickets!

This will be a win-win-win; have a great night out, raise money for a great cause and connect with parents from the Charles Best community because we also deserve to have a little fun in this Grade 12 year, too!
