Technology, along with 21st century skills, plays an important role in the lives of students today. Our school is committed to improve student achievement in the use of computer technology through its integration in all subject areas. Our teachers encourage their students to use technology tools available in our school and, particularly, to use them to present ideas, enhance creativity, organize thoughts and communicate effectively in a variety of way.
Our goal is to give our students the knowledge, attitude and skills necessary to become computer literate.
This past summer the computers in our Computer Lab were replaced. All classrooms at Panorama Heights have a laptop computer and LCD projector. This enables classrooms to access the internet for learning purposes. A focus for the next several years' will be to learn to use this new technology to enhance instruction. To further support this goal, a large group of teachers will be participating in a technology learning team here at Panorama over the 11/12 school year. This team will explore ways to use our technology progressively in the classroom.
We also have two mini labs of laptop computers in our ESL and Resource rooms. These mini labs will greatly assist instruction in these areas.
