Leadership announcement - Next week is a very important week that is celebrated all over BC…do you know what it is? That's right, it's RAC WEEK which stands for: Real Acts of Caring and here is the history behind this eventful week!
RAC was created by grade 4 and 5 students at Central Community School in 2005 and is about doing something caring and kind for others and not expecting anything in return. Since it began in 2005, RAC has spread all over BC and beyond.
This year the focus of RAC Week is Mental Health and Wellness and our Moody Leadership students have some fun things planned to get you involved.
First and foremost, the theme colour for RAC week is PURPLE – so plan in advance to wear as much PURPLE next week as you can!
Each day of the week we will have an activity that you can take part in to show you care about others before yourself…and all week long you can put in your guess for the number of candies in the Valentine Guessing Jar!
Top guessing students in each Pod and Class will receive a treat on Tuesday, Feb. 20th. Make sure to take a good, close look at the jar – it is full of Mr. Budai's favourite treat…spicy, sweet, cinnamon hearts!
Have a great weekend, everyone.
