Welcome to our guests in the building today. We hope you have a great day, Ms. Turcsanyi and Ms. Howard!
Reminders from Ms. Jung
One of the best ways to stay safe is to be calm and not let yourself get too excited and out of breath when sharing stores with your classmates. This makes mask wearing easier and physical distancing more sensible, too! Thanks for washing your hands and for completing your daily health check! Bet you brought your filled water bottle or two, as well!
Spoken Word Public Speaking District Finalists
Congratulations to our speech finalists who presented this morning! Martin Zou who spoke passionately about Banning Plastic Bags! Emilie Shin shared her speech on the topic of The Importance of Electricity, which was ironically very timely as Eagle Mountain had a power outage and presented from a neighbour's home! Representing the grade 8s was Veronika Palkoci's slam poetry entry with her poem so artistically presented about the Flawless Cherry Blossom Tree. You were all strong representatives of our EMMSOTA community! What an experience! Your medals will be arriving via snail mail next week! Well done!
t's Earth Day!
We know all it takes is one person to take action to make a difference in support of protecting our earth! Today, that one person is Mr. Pillsbury!! We now officially have a marker recycling program here at Moody spearheaded by Mr. Pillsbury!
What will you do? Martin is using a reusable shopping bag. Ms. Taylor-Hill has encouraged us to each pick up one piece of trash. Ms. Jung has reminded us to sort our trash into the green bin, blue bin or black bin, and to transport our waste home safely instead especially during this time? Emilie has reminded us to turn off unused lights and conserve electricity! Let's do it together! It is that easy! Happy green earth day, everyone! In fact, every day is Earth Day!
Reminder that tomorrow, Friday April 23rd is a Pro-D day and school is not in session.
