Counselling
Our school counselling program provides consulting, coordinating, counselling and educational services to students, parents, teachers and administrators. These services focus on the social, emotional and developmental aspects of childhood and adolescence; services also include response to crisis, parent and staff consultation and teacher in-service.

As you may be aware, Mrs. Graf, the counsellor for students whose last name begins with “P – Z", will unfortunately be away for an undetermined amount of time. We are working on finding a long term replacement.  Students requiring a course change, please fill out the form on our school's web site. If you have a non-course change question, please direct all calls and e-mails to Mr. Papillo at tpapillo@sd43.bc.ca.  If you have a counselling related concern, please contact Mr. Chang or Mrs. John.

 Resources For Youth

Mindcheck. ca - A provincial resource focused on early intervention and prevention of potential mental health and substance use issues for youth and young adults.

mindcheck.ca targets young people ages 13-25 years old and is designed to be youth and user friendly. It’s a website where young people can check out how they’re feeling and get connected to support early and quickly. It offers education materials, confidential screening tools (quizzes) for five conditions - depression, anxiety, stress, alcohol and drug use, and psychosis. The website provides links to self-help websites and information on how to access community services.

It also includes sections for families and friends, and professionals who work with teens and young adults.
