Art @ Centennial

The visual art program here at Centennial offers a stimulating range of art materials, strategies and instruction for students to engage with.  Students enrolled in art courses at Centennial practice art and design under the guidance of our expert art teachers.  We offer four art courses: Art Foundations 9, Art Foundations 11/12, Drawing and Painting 11/12 as well as Ceramics and Sculpture 11/12.  With a wide selection of art materials to encounter, students have the opportunity to find their artistic voice and style.  Creative skills are essential to understanding and thriving in the 21st century, and are enjoyable to learn and apply through the practice of visual art.  Centennial’s visual art program equips students with the basic technical and practical skills to effectively handle a wide range of art materials, image-making strategies, approaches and concepts.  Our visual art program also allows students to engage in structured creative play and experimentation, giving them room to grow and develop artistically in an enriched learning environment along-side their peers.
