Terry Fox announcement - Our Terry Fox run is tomorrow! I hope you are prepared to have a great time and support our local hero. Every day until the Terry Fox run, we have shared some fun facts about him, and this is day 9. Did you know Terry Fox's father, Rolland, was a switchman for the Canadian National Railway? And over $900 million has been raised worldwide for cancer research in Terry's name through the annual Terry Fox Run, held across Canada and in 30 countries around the world. Also, one of Terry's earliest supporters was Isadore Sharp, founder of the Four Seasons Hotels. Sharp lost his own son to cancer and offered Terry and his companions free accommodation at his hotels. He donated $10,000 and challenged 999 other businesses to do the same. So, let's do our part too and remember to support and keep Terry's dream alive. You can donate on the Terry Fox Foundation website or in person to your teacher. We are hoping for 100% participation. Terry's goal was to raise one dollar for every Canadian and we want to continue that great goal. We hope to see you all at the run tomorrow.
Have a great day Moody.
