​Dear Jr. Band Students and Parents, 

There is an exciting opportunity coming up for all Jr. Band students at EMMSOTA. Band students from Heritage Woods Secondary will be coming to Moody Middle on Monday, September 26th at 6:00pm to help with an event called Squeak & Squawk. 

Heritage Woods students from each instrument area will teach Moody Middle students the basics about their instrument. For example, flute students from Heritage will meet with flute students from Moody. This is a great chance to learn how to care for your instrument, how to put it together, and how to play the first few notes. 

The instrument workshops will take place in different areas of the school from 6:00-7:00pm. From 7:00-7:30pm all students will meet in the gym to put on a mini concert for parents and showcase what we’ve learned. 

Parents are encouraged to come to the mini concert to see what your kids have learned! 

If you are not able to attend the Squeak & Squawk evening, please let Mrs. Reichert know so that she can go over the basics with you and show you how to get started on your instrument.
