CRE Updates

October 08, 2013

CRE Parents/Guardians,

Please make note of the following updates and info items:

-        Our Photo Retakes are this Thursday morning.  Please make sure your child and his/her teacher knows if you would like a retake for your child.

-        We are very excited about our annual Thanksgiving Multicultural Luncheon this Friday at 11:30.  I am inviting students to wear clothing from their family’s cultural background.  Thank you to all the families that have signed up to bring a dish (remember to label your serving dishes/utensils so you get them back!).  We have asked that all dishes are nut free, however parents of children with nut/peanut or other food allergies may still wish to make alternate arrangements for their child. Please let me know if I can be of assistance with this.

-        Our CRE Clothing sale ends Oct 15, please get your orders in.  An order form can be found here.

-        Halloween will be here in a few weeks.  A reminder that all costumes are to be appropriate and in good taste for a school environment.  Prop or toy weapons are not appropriate for costumes at school.  We will enjoy having our Costume Fashion Show at 1:00 on Oct. 31st, all parents are invited.  Other fun activities for that afternoon will also be planned.

-        Today through Thursday, Terry Fox Secondary is gratefully accepting donations of good/used sporting goods for the Kidsport organization.

Thank you,

Murray Peters

Principal, Coquitlam River Elementary School

Ps:  A reminder about our next PAC (Parent Advisory Council) meeting tomorrow, Wed. Oct. 9th, at 7:00 pm in our library.  All parents are welcome!
