Children's FestivalNo

The Vancouver International Children’s Festival Volunteer Team is pleased to announce that we are returning this spring with a live festival on Granville Island May 25–May 31st, 2026.

Your students can sign up through our BetterImpact Volunteer Page today!

Students must be:

  • 15 years or older at their first shift
  • Able to attend 2 shifts (~14 hours) minimum
  • Access to a working email and phone

Any volunteer who completes over 24 hrs of service will be eligible for a reference letter from the Volunteer Team – plus plenty of other perks. Applications close early May.

If you have students interested in the things below, we’d love to see them at the festival.

  • Hospitality and Customer Service
  • Tourism and Event Management
  • Visual and Performing Arts
  • Early Childhood Education
  • Work Experience requirements

We’re also especially interested in onboarding 3-4 Volunteer Recruiters per school starting January.

Our new volunteer coordinator, Deanna will be starting in the new year and will be happy to connect with new applicants, returning volunteers and teachers when she starts her position in January.

These are creative, outgoing, and organised students who work within their school to recruit more volunteers.

Volunteer Recruiters get to partake in virtual monthly meetings from February to May, receiving ongoing support and mentorship from our team.

Know any students who’d love this opportunity? Please forward their info to us, and encourage them to go to our BetterImpact Volunteer Page to submit an application.

BETTYBAKES604No
Student volunteers (preferably gr 11's and 12's). The volunteering will help students with learning about social interaction, learning about entrepreneurship, and seeing the ins and outs of a small business.  Most of the feedback I get from students is that they have fun volunteering and really see how a small business works from the ground up.

In exchange for their time and effort, I will be able to supply them with volunteer letters for the hours they provided.
Please fill out the google volunteer form.
